yesterday we finally got a bit of sun and the traffic and chaos from the parade and the bomb scare was a bit easier.
my trip to la fromagerie proved fruitful beyond what i should be spending on cheese. imagine a room that is temperature controlled with people that are there just to help you select the perfect cheese. unpasteurized, goat, sheep, cow - you name it, they have it - from 3BP a kg to 100 bp a kg - the ranges are extraordinary. i was incredibly overwhelmed yet chose well. fresh baked bread, produce that is locally grown...let's just say i had fun - and remembered one should never shop hungry. my first day in the office was great - everyone is so nice and helpful, i got a bit lost on my way there but it's very close to my place. the shopping in mayfair is INSANE - don't worry, beyond my wallet - but i pass by D&G, Lora Pianni, Jimmy Choo, Thomas Pink...and many more on my way in. the people who walk the streets are incredibly fashionable and diverse, it's the best people watching i've ever experienced. it reminds me a lot of new york - but much more diverse and unique. tonight i went to a place called chor bizarre for some indian food and had a great meal - so full but happy. i love being a vegetarian in an indian restaurant - it's so much easier to pick and choose dishes and there are so many options. they are fixing my washer/dryer tomorrow and will be getting me the utensils/appliances that i need for the month so that's some great news. i hope to have a rainless night soon to enjoy my terrace - and to all of you who have commented on how huge it is - yes, it is much bigger than my living space.

Aaaaahh cheese, the food of the gods. Watch out for the unpasturized stuff though - lots of interesting "bugs" if it's not aged and cured properly.
People watching....my favorite past time. I'll still bet there is no comparison to a Georgia Wal-Mart at 11 on a Saturday night.
Later ya'll
Good lord in heaven, that looks like some good cheese. Miss you TT!
