i have always prided myself on my ability to walk around in giant shoes. london streets don't bode well with wedge shoes i am afraid. yesterday, i almost wiped out at leat 10 times, i had a real doozy and was saved by a very nice gentleman who spare me a broken nose and ankle. i will have to retire these shoes while i am here which makes me a little sad because i am quite fond of them. we all went out last night and had a great time - went to hush and then a club called coccoon. typical club stuff - needless to say i am a little tired and haven't gotten any sleep - i haven't been very successful at sleeping since i've been here and hope that changes soon. i have mentioned before how nice everyone is in the office and i think getting the group out helped in getting to know everyone better - i've been given so many ideas of things to do while i am here, my head is spinning with options. the thing that i am so envious of here is the ability people have to travel to amazing places - france, spain, morocco...wisconsin and florida just don't have the same exotic appeal. on another note, i've received a new washer/dryer so i can wash and dry to my heart's content - thank god. and i will try my uncle's tip of unscrewing the lightbulb so my food doesn't get warm in the fridge. as for the questions about what happens here on july 4th. absolutely nothing....

those are fabulous shoes-even though i would not last 2 steps in them. i would probably put them in a glass case & just gaze at them
