i finally made it in yesterday - flight was great, love the beds on virgin atlantic, they cannot be beat. they still need to sort out some kinks though as the agent forgot to give me a voucher for fast track through immigration and i ended up waiting almost 2 hours. i know, boo hoo but it was quite painful. it's been raining here, yesterday was nuts - between the 2nd bomb discovery and the gay pride parade, it was hell getting around. my flat is nice - as you can see - it's small and i swear the terrace is bigger than the whole place! some things that aren't great are the fact that there are no towels and hardly any utensils/dishes, etc., so i spent yesterday in the rain getting everything i need. i love the concept of a washer/dryer unit combo in the kitchen and wonder why we don't have something similar in the us. had my very first english afternoon tea at the mandarin oriental with marina and ian, overlooking hyde park. it was really lovely. the other group made it in this morning and i got them all settled and took care of some items for them so am pretty wiped out. trying to take it easy, so i will be exploring marylebone today, which i fell in love with last time i was there - and will make trip to la fromagerie today - probably the equivalent of heaven for cheese lovers.

so gald you made it safe and sound...despite soggy weather and long 'cues'. Look forward to reading more about your month abroad. what an excellent opportunity for fun, adventure and of course, new shopping spots! hugs.
Nice! dig that mod couch.
Glad you made it in safely - have to admit the bomb scares made me a little nervous knowing you were on your way there. The gay pride parade makes me a little nervous too, but that's another story.
Be safe, love ya....UR
Hey T2... LOVE THE PLACE. I actually like the retro looking colors in the kitchen. Red isn't that bad. So does the combo washer/dryer really dry? Keep the updates coming. I look forward to hearing all about your trip.
H/K, Rox... :)
Nice pad...love the balcony and the european mod colors.
Glad to see you're doing well.
